At only 4 days old, Kaitlyn (a tribute to David’s mom, Kaleen) Elizabeth (a tribute to my Grandma Betty) gave us a the wonderful gift of a night of great (by a newborn’s definition) sleep, nursing at 9:30pm, 1:45am and 4:30am, while sleeping like a champ in between. Therefore instead of napping with her this morning, I’m using my newfound energy to organize pictures and furiously write her birth story and other tidbits of the last few days that I want to remember and share with you before it falls out of this mommy brain of mine. I’ll be back soon with more details, but the quick version is this…

She immediately stole our hearts and at the risk of sounding cliché, we are head over heels in love. I couldn’t be any happier than I am right now. Welcome to the world, my sweet baby Kaitlyn!
